How Great Leaders Inspire Action

I recently watched the most inspiring TED Talk by Simon Sinek. He uses what he calls the Golden Circle to explain why people are successful. I highly recommend spending 18 minutes of your day watching this. Simon says that people all know What they do, Some know How they do it, but few know Why.

Some take aways:
  • The goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have.
  • The goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe.
  • People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.
  • What you do proves what you believe.

Maybe I’m late to the party and this is old stuff, but it reminded me of Why I wanted to start my own practice and reignited What I do.
