17 Mar Self-Care is Not Selfish
On Tuesday this week we had our WBN May breakout session. Thank you to everyone who filled out the self care survey I sent out in preparation for our self care playground themed play date. The results of that survey are shown below. A special thank you also to those who were able to join us for the breakout session, enjoy the experience and share their own tips with us. We had a lot of fun and played with as many self care options as we could fit into 2 hours.
What defines self care is as unique as each person. Self care includes any intentional actions you take to care for your physical, mental and emotional health. By devoting time to self care, you are telling yourself and the world that you are important to you and are deserving of the time. This time is required for you to be healthy, alert, functional and attentive in all other areas of your life. It is essential if you want to approach your business with energy and creativity. If you find the “I should be doing something else” guilt setting in, it is really important to acknowledge that when you care for yourself everyone benefits.
During our breakout we experienced a little bit of the everything, including the following self care options : Meditation, Massage, Reiki, Bones for Life, Kitchen Remedies including, Dr. Oz’ Belly Fat Blasting Water, Indian Wedding Facial Mask, Anti-Inflammatory Ginger Poultice for Sprain Relief, Oil Pulling with Coconut Oil, Lymphatic Self Care, and Foot Reflexology. We also discussed the benefits of Hypnosis- Self and Guided, EFT-Tapping, Visioning with SoulCollage, Dowsing, Yoga, and the calm that organization brings. Yes, we managed to fit that into 2 productive hours. If you have any questions, about any of these, feel free to call.
